HR Forms Automation
Arguably one of the largest SharePoint workflow implementations to date, Syple developed a complete HR forms automation and management solution using
Microsoft Sharepoint Services 2007 and Windows Workflow Foundation. This enterprise solution empowered the HR and Payroll departments to supply the Lion Nathan National Foods business users with self service forms that were managed and routed by complex behind-the-scene workflow rules.
An example form of the solution is the "New Starter Form" which enables hiring leaders within the business to submit a basic form whenever hiring new staff members. Once submitted, this form would be routed to various departments and executives for approval, and would eventually even generated a dynamically populated PDF version of the employment contract which would be sent to the new starter. Upon completion of the workflow the workflow would finalise the process by dynamically creating an active directory account and a Microsoft Exchange mailbox account for the employee of which the login details would be sent to the hiring leader in the form of an email.
This solution comprised of a total of 9 automated HR and payroll forms, 26 different workflows, and integrated with over 11 other applications within the enterprise. This system continues to be used by thousands of business users throughout the Lion Nathan National Foods organisation.
