BottleShop POS Application
Lion Nathan Australia (a leading Australian alcoholic beverages company) offers its employees a product allowance as a part of their salary package in the form of redeemable vouchers. Employees use these vouchers to acquire any number of Lion Nathan products from eligible liquor stores. In the past the distribution of these vouchers was handled manually using a paper-based ticketing system. This made it difficult to track the vouchers that had (and had not) been claimed, and also to enforce company policy regarding the usage of the vouchers. The BottleShop POS application developed by Syple replaced this manual paper based process with a completely automated digital and convenient solution.
The BottleShop POS system was implemented using Microsoft .NET technology and SQL Server Integration Services technology (SSIS) on an n-tier architecture model that also integrated the solution with various HRMS and Payroll systems within the organisation.
The solution itself comprised of a series of integration modules, web forms for the payroll team and employee self-service forms that enable products to be ordered online. To further simplify the process of redeeming the vouchers and managing allowance balances a native iPhone application was also developed and rolled out to the enterprise.
