Bacardi Intranet
The Bacardi Intranet is the official corporate intranet of Bacardi Lion and is used as a hub of all information within the organisation. To provide a flexible means of managing the various content within the organisation, and to implement a range of collaborative features typical in an intranet environment, the intranet solution was developed using the Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007 (MOSS).
Microsoft Office SharePoint Server (MOSS) is a multi-purpose platform that allows the management and provisioning of intranet portals, extranets and websites, document management and file management, collaboration spaces, social networking tools, enterprise search, business intelligence tooling, process/information integration, and third-party developed solutions.
Using the power and flexibility offered by MOSS, Syple developed a series of customized web templates and web parts tailored specifically for the Bacardi Lion organization. This provided Bacardi Lion an intranet solution that would tailor their immediate requirements and provide a scalable platform that could be extended to deliver additional functionality in the future.
